    Greatest

They told us we’re the greatest, but that’s just a mask,
Built on false dreams, now we don’t even ask.
Turnin’ criminals to heroes, heroes to fools,
A nation of lies, man, who’s breakin’ the rules?

    A president sleepin’, don’t give a damn,
Sittin' in the White House, ain't got a plan.
Let it all burn while he's snorin’ on the clock,
We gave him the keys, but he can't even find the lock.

And then the other one, actin’ like a king,
Praises dictators, makes the devil sing.
All for the power, all for the fame,
But freedom’s a joke when you sell out the name.

We ain’t the greatest no more, look at what we’ve done,
Tried to build an empire, now it’s coming undone.
Stopped askin’ the questions, now we’re fallin’ apart,
Lost the meaning of greatness, lost the heart.
We can’t even see it, too blinded by pride,
    The “greatest” ain’t a title; it’s a lie.

Heroes we made from the lowest of low,
Flippin’ the script, now the villains steal the show.
Sick of the glory, sick of the fame,
We glorify the guilty, forget the shame.

They sold us a dream, but we bought the lie,
Now we worship the villains, as the angels die.
We used to stand tall, now we crumble in the dust,
The American dream’s gone, and it's hard to trust.

Every victory’s hollow, every win feels wrong,
And we stand in the wreckage, singin’ the same old song.
Time to stop pretendin’ we’re already there,
The “greatest” ain't a title, it’s a burden we wear.
